We thought this yearbook photo of Mr. Mitchell's 5th grade class was a good example of a consummate grade five moment. John Schlaefer's funny scowl, Monica Ellebracht's eyes squeezed shut, and Katilyn Crocker's t-shirt announcing 'I am acting my age' really make us laugh.

 

The caption on the next page tells us 'This year Mr. Mitchell stopped drinking 'Diet Coke' and he couldn't speak properly! We enjoyed Ms. Johnson's company during the first half of the year. We had a great time studying explorers, science fair, World War II, ecosystems, colonial life, and decimals. Some of the names Mr. Mitchell uses in class are 'Horrors, Wooman, Luigi, Grasshopper, Speak to me bones, and Quiet shy boy.' We had a wonderful year!! : )
