John Moller '89 used our website contact form to ask for a copy of his yearbook page from the 1983-1984. John said, 'Thanks for your timely response. Ok, it's been a long time ago but I know I was in Omega. I remember a teacher named Mrs. Calcutta, I believe, and we had a health class taught by a man named Anderson I think? I know we were back in the States when I went to 7th grade, probably 1984. So I should have attended for three years, roughly 1981-1983. I'm almost sure the Principal or Assistant was Bill Anderson. I remember him so well because I saw him quite often, hahaha. I don't know if it will help but our address was 103 Coronation Road West. Any and all pics and info would be invaluable to me. I would love to catch up with old friends. Thanks...John Moller'

We did a little sleuthing and came up with this page out of the Ulu Pandan Reflections yearbook for the 1983-1984 school year. Omega at that time consisted of four classes, led by Mrs. Goydaga, Mrs. Dodge, Mrs. Hanifen and Mrs. Calcutt. The Superintendent was Dr. Kuhbander, and the Principal was Mrs. Leister. Assistant Principals, including the one John remembers spending time with, were Mr. Anderson and Dr. Emma. Principal's Secretary Joyce Kwik is still a member of the Primary Office, now assisting Principal David Hoss. Eight of the students in this picture are members of our alumni website.

Stuart Bell '84 emailed us earlier this month with a few good suggestions. He was interested in catching up with classmates, both those who had registered on our alumni website, and those who hadn't yet discovered the site. He recommended posting a list of names, or showing pages from the yearbook. Although he did not graduate from SAS in 1984, Stuart said, '1976, 1977 and 1978 were memorable years for me. 1976 had a lot going on as I recall. Presidential elections (Ford/Carter), the bi-centennial of the United States, the movies Grease and Star Wars, the TV show Happy Days were all in full swing, etc...Those years had big time football for all ages at the Ulu Pandan campus. That campus was very new and state of the art at the time. I played for the Brown and Root Brown Builders, the Vetco Vandals, and I think the Vikings. I recall the oil industry sending over four professional football players (Lynn Swann being one of them) to give a coachign clinic. I'm sure you hear it all the time...fantastic memories!'
