Another SAS cyclist is on the move this summer! Colin Nederkoorn, Class of 2000, is teaming up with his friend Ben Winteroth to cycle across the US raising money for Kick for Nick, an organization that uses troops on the ground in Afghanistan and Iraq to distribute soccer balls to kids. 

 

Colin and Ben have set up a website to record their progress. They leave San Francisco on Saturday, May 17th, across 16 states en route to Boston.

Kick for Nick is a 501c3 organization that honors the memory of PFC Nick Madaras, a soldier from Wilton, Connecticut, who was killed in action in September 2006. The organization honors Nick, an avid soccer player and coach, by sending soccer balls to the kids in war zones. Kick for Nick was recently featured on ESPN in this moving 10-minute video.
