Jim Baker '66 has released the second edition of his successful book Crossroads: A Popular History of Malaysia and Singapore. The book has been used by the SAS social studies department for years, but this new edition will update the text to include recent events, even as recently as the newsworthy spring 2008 Malaysian elections.

 

Jim teaches social studies, coaches the winning track and field and debate teams, and is the author of several history books, including the SAS history book available in the alumni office: Singapore's Eagles: Singapore American School 1956-2006.

 

The latest edition of Crossroads is published by Marshall Cavendish and will be released for general sale in late May 2008. The book is available online through Select Books on http://www.selectbooks.com.sg.
