The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences presented the Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards on Saturday, December 5 in Orlando. The black-tie gala included dozens of categories in the field of television journalism. From New Orleans to Miami, reporters, photographers, editors and producers gathered at the Gaylord Palms for the annual black-tie gala.
 
Florida Aquarium Public Relations Manager Tom Wagner '90 was enlisted by WTSP 10Connects reporter Preston Rudie to take underwater video of the Neptune Memorial Reef for a segment showing this artificial reef and cemetery three miles off the coast of Miami. Out of nine nominees for Best News – Features, Tom Wagner won an Emmy for creating the underwater visuals for the segment called "Welcome to Neptune”. Congratulations Tom!
