How do I login for the first time?

New information regarding logging in is coming in February 2017.

In the meantime please contact us directly at alumni@sas.edu.sg to let us know how we can help.

What is the Alumni Directory?

SAS’s alumni online directory keeps you connected both personally and professionally. It allows you to link up with other SAS alumni no matter where they are in the world. All SAS alumni, parents, and staff are eligible to be part of the directory.

If you are an SAS alumni, former parent, or former staff and would like to join the online directory, please complete the update information form. Please allow up to 5 business days for your information to be added to the directory and a login to be created.

Who can access the Alumni Directory?

Only approved alumni, former parents, and former staff are able to access the alumni directory.

Persons found misusing the directory will be banned.

What if a classmates information is missing from the directory?

The alumni directory only has personal information for people who allow us to share it with the community. Either the alumnus has chosen to not share their personal information or the alumni office does not currently have contact information for them.

If I know of an “out of touch” alumnus/a, what should I do?

Please email us and we will reach out to them.

Alternatively, you can direct them to the alumni website and ask them to update their information.

I don't want to be listed in the Alumni Directory. How do I opt out?

When you update your information, you will need to indicate if you want your personal details included in the directory or not.

How do I find other alumni in my area?

The alumni directory app powered by EverTrue allows you to search a geographic location and will provide a list of all alumni in the area.

How do I change my address/email for all SAS mailings?

How do I share alumni news about myself with other alumni and the alumni office?

We encourage alumni to submit news and updates on the SAS alumni Facebook page or with the SAS alumni LinkedIn group. We no longer have the “Notes and Quotes” section in the alumni magazine, Journeys, because social media is now the primary platform to share news and information. Social media allows for news to be shared immediately and provides the opportunity for meaningful interaction between alumni. If alumni would like to share news to be included in Journeys articles, please send an email to alumni@sas.edu.sg.

How do I report the death of an alumnus?

Please submit the Report an Alumni Death form.

Information from the form will be used to create an online memorial for the alumni website. Pictures are welcome.

I am not receiving Journeys magazine. How do I get added to the mailing list or receive it digitally?

To start receiving Journeys, simply click on Update My Information on the alumni page of the website. You can indicate on this form that you would like to receive it in print. If you would like to receive Journeys digitally, please make sure you have updated your email address with us.

How do I submit a story idea to the magazine?

We love to hear from our greater SAS community. If you have a story idea or are interested in writing a story for Journeys, please email us.

Where do I send comments, corrections, or letters to the editor?

Please email the communications office.

How do I find a SAS alumni event in my area?

You can check out all planned SAS reunions and events here.

We encourage everyone to send us details of their events so that we can include them on this page and help you get the word out.

How can I help get alumni activities/events/reunions started in my area?

We have some wonderful resources available if you’d like to plan a reunion or event in your area. Please click here for event planning documents and be sure to email us with your event details so we can include them on our website.

How do I get a copy of my transcript?

For SAS alumni, Parchment is used to electronically send transcripts to locations all over the world - whether to a college, employer, or other organization. Whether you're applying to college, grad school, or your dream job, sending your official transcript is fast and efficient through our relationship with Parchment.

There is a small fee payable to Parchment for this service, but the advantage of electronic transmittal means that the transcript will arrive at its destination quickly.

Note: If you are a current SAS student or National Serviceman who has not yet started college, please contact your counselor to have your official transcripts sent in support of your college applications.

I’ve lost my diploma. How can I order a replacement?

Unfortunately, we can not make copies of diplomas. You can request a Certificate of Graduation from the high school counseling office.

How do I get involved with SAS?

We love it when our SAS community gets involved! There are many ways to support SAS.

You can host an alumni event in your area, you can volunteer to become a class representative, or you could give to the SAS Annual Fund.

Is the alumni network involved in fundraising?

Yes, we are! Check out our Support SAS page for more information.

Can I visit the campus?

Yes, you can! Prior to your visit you will need to request a scheduled visit and receive approval for admittance to the campus. If you do not submit your request prior to your visit, we cannot guarantee you will allowed on campus.

Where can I eat when visiting SAS?

You can eat in a variety of places when you visit SAS. Our food services are open to guests from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on school days and accepts cash payment.

You can visit Mr. Ho in the cafeteria or order from Subway, Baja Fresh, or get pizza and halal in the Eagle Zone.

How can I buy SAS merchandise?

You can order SAS embroidered items directly from Lands' End. You can select from shirts and hats to bags and blankets.

If you are on campus, you can also purchase items from the Booster Booth in the high school.

Booster Booth items are also available for purchase and can be shipped internationally on the Booster Booth website.

What are the SAS alumni office hours?

Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. We are not open on Singapore public holidays and school holidays. During the summer months, the easiest way to get in touch with us is to email us.


EVERTRUE

The EverTrue mobile app for Apple or Android devices provides our alumni another way to stay connected with each other and with the school.

EverTrue allows you to search for alumni profiles by name, location, and class year; the nearby function lets you see who is located near to wherever you are. EverTrue is also integrated with LinkedIn, so you can search by LinkedIn company, location, or industry.

The alumni mobile app is a private community only for alumni of SAS. Users can only access the app if they have an authenticated email from SAS. All members agree to Evertrue's privacy policy by logging into the app.

Who can use the Singapore American School EverTrue community?

Any SAS alum may use it! Your information is protected, and only SAS constituents may access it.

How do I get EverTrue on my mobile device?

Search for "EverTrue" in the Apple App store or the Google Play store. Once you have downloaded the app and open it, you will be prompted to search for your community. Type in "Singapore American School" and select the correct community. EverTrue supports iOS 6 and 7, and Android 2.3 and above.

How do I log in once I’ve downloaded EverTrue and selected the Singapore American School community?

You can sign in with an email and password, or authenticate with LinkedIn.

To confirm your account, you'll need to click on a confirmation link that will be sent to you via email.

What does it mean when my information is under review?

If your email address does not match what your organization has on file, they will use your name, class year, and other information you supply to confirm your identity.

How do I customize my privacy settings or update my contact information?

You may customize your settings so that particular information will not be viewable by other constituents. If you would like to hide information in your profile, go to My Profile then click on “Suggest an Update” at the bottom of your profile. Then, type in any updates you would like to make and click "Send." Please note that it may take up to 2-3 business days for changes to appear.

Unless you indicate otherwise, all of your contact information will appear on the app; this includes name, street, city, state, country, phone number, email address, education, and place of employment.

How do I search for people using the directory?

Type the name of the person you are seeking in the search box. If you are unsure of the spelling, you may type a few letters in the name, click “Search” and the app will pull a list of possible matches. You also have the option to search by class year by typing a year into the search box.

How do I search for people nearby?

Click on the Nearby tab in the sidebar navigation. A map will appear with pushpins indicating people in your area. Clicking on one of the pushpins will open that alum’s listing in the directory. You may also click the icon in the top right corner of the map to view a list of people nearby. To search for an alum in the map feature, click on the search icon on the bottom of the map.

Are you traveling and looking to visit SAS people in other cities? You may search for users across the globe by entering any zip code, city, state or country, and the map feature will show you that location along with people in that part of the world. You can also click the filter icon on the map page to narrow your results.

Is the location information real-time?

No. The location information is based on home address information listed in the SAS Alumni Directory.

How do I connect using my LinkedIn account?

The app allows you to connect and network with other people using LinkedIn. Once you are in the app, you can view information that people have included in their LinkedIn and Facebook profiles along with the number of connections you have in common. Anything marked as private in LinkedIn remains private. Don’t forget to list Singapore American School in the education field in your LinkedIn profile, and be sure to join the Singapore American School Alumni LinkedIn group!
